Lachlan Fulloon

Chairman

Lachlan Fulloon began as Chair of Fleece To Fashion in 2017. Lachlan brings extensive knowledge, contacts and experience in wool and merino seedstock production to the Fleece To Fashion team. He owns and manages the 5 generation long family business, Cressbrook Merinos just south east of Armidale. Cressbrook shears upwards of 9000 merinos and sells 100 plus rams throughout Eastern Australia annually. Lachlan is keen to give back to an industry that has seen his family through thick and thin for over 100 years, and Fleece To Fashion provides an ideal platform to help grow public awareness of wools unique and luxurious qualities! When not on farm, Lachlan is a keen sportsman and enjoys quality time with his partner, children and friends.

Liz Foster

Board Member

Elizabeth (Liz) Foster brings her 35 year experience as managing director of The Australian Wool Fashion Awards. Her expertise in running Wool fashion events and connections within the wool and fashion industries is invaluable. Liz & husband were superfine woolgrowers until 2015 when youngest son took over the family property, but still living on the farm taking a keen interest in the runnings and the Merino wool Industry. Liz has been promoting the fibre for over thirty eight years in managerial positions to bring together a unique collection of exemplary wool fashion for showing throughout the rest of the year to as many audiences as possible Australia wide. Originally taking on the position to do something for the wool industry at a time when no promotion was happening. Liz is now passing on her knowledge to young members of the team.

Greg Moin

Board Member

Greg Moin is a principal lawyer at Moin Morris Schaefer, Lawyers. After working in London and Sydney, Greg has been practising law in Armidale for many years where he has built up a substantial practice assisting clients in the rural sector including woolgrowers, research institutions and small to medium businesses. With wide ranging experience as a board member on a number of community based boards Greg brings a wealth of experience to the board table. Greg was the chair of The Australian Wool Fashion Awards for close to 20 years and has been on the F2F board since its inception. Greg’s four children are grateful to F2F for its continuing fashion advice to their father.

Phil Gream

Board Member

Phil Gream was born and bred in Armidale and has spent all his life in the town except for three years in Sydney where he worked and completed his professional studies to become a Chartered Accountant. Phil has worked at Roberts & Morrow Chartered Accountants for almost 30 years and has been a Partner of the firm since 1 July 1998. His father was a passionate merino woolgrower in the Armidale district for many years and Roberts & Morrow has been a keen supporters of the Wool Awards since they first started in Armidale many years ago. Phil joined the Fleece to Fashion Board on 20 October 2017 and his responsibilities include managing the finances, encouraging sponsorship from local businesses and ensuring compliance with the liquor licence regulations on the Awards night. Phil is a keen sports fan who enjoys watching the NRL and spending time with his family.

Kate Stephen

Board Member

Kate is currently studying a Master of Psychology and hopes to practice locally in Armidale as she is passionate about improving the mental health of young people in the region.

Kate has lived in the New England for the majority of her life, and the Stephen family have had a long association with the wool industry.

Together with her husband David, Kate adores raising her young family in the New England and enjoys the benefits of living regionally.

Kate is passionate about making Fleece to Fashion the premier wool-based fashion event that encourages aspiring designers to use wool in innovative and sustainable ways.

Sarah Mason

Event Manager

Sarah has over 25 years of experience in producing events and managing publicity campaigns for organisations big and small - from community-based not-for-profits to blue-chip global brands.

An Armidale local, Sarah jumped at the chance to work with Fleece to Fashion to help deliver an extraordinary program showcasing the remarkable qualities of Merino wool.

Beau Thackway

Team Member

Beau has been involved with the Wool Awards from a young age, also doing work experience with the event throughout his high school life. His family has a sheep property, hence he has witnessed the wool-growing and production process on-farm, as well as helping his nan to construct woollen garments to enter in the Awards.

Beau is currently working at a plant nursery and helps on his family farm.

Edie Rose

Team Member

Edie has been part of the Wool Awards since she was born - literally - learning to crawl and walk on the stage. She proceeded to model, subsequently became an entrant in the Awards, and conducted work experience throughout her years at highschool. With a lifetime of experience with the Awards, Edie has since returned to Armidale as an event coordinator of Fleece to Fashion. She is also currently working at a primary school and helping her partner with his growing business in support work.

Together, Edie and Beau make a great team. Their vast experience with the Wool Awards is of immense value and they have the vision and passion to make the event a great success.
